January - March 2008 Report

Dear Friends:

First, please accept my apology for the delay in this report. We had a major robbery which included all my backup files and it wasn't till last week that we finally recovered all stolen property including the pictures I am sharing in these reports.

Leadership and Teachers Training:

This has been a trying and difficult time for us, especially in the ministry. However, the Lord has done great things through the midst of the storm. I have never been as discouraged as in the last few months, but the Lord has shown me that He is always at work. One of the most wonderful things that has happened was a dream come true. As you know from my previous letters, we are always training people in various parts of the ministry. This time the Lord gave us eight men who have a desire to be trained. I gave them a semester length course in Biblical Hermeneutics (Science of Interpreting the bible.)

The Lord is the one who calls and raises people for His work. We simply disciple and train individuals who the Lord brings our way, and we trust Him with the outcome. Three of these men have started preaching and six of them teach others on a weekly basis. Although we have long ways to go, I am so excited to see some fruit of many years of sowing.

PRAY FOR: (l to r) Lynderick, Travis, Paul, Dan, Ray, Antony, Armin, George.

Assisting another national church:

We have been approached by a small church who has struggled, lacking a pastor, asking us for guidance. Though we are lacking ourselves, it is a privilege to encourage another ministry and help train its leadership. They have a faithful deacon, Wes, who has God's call in his life. Please, pray for the church and for a new pastor.

Outreach:

We are still in contact with families who responded to our outreach. Some attend Sundays or a bible study. Continue to pray for understanding of the free gift that is in Christ Jesus. Many struggle in understanding this simple truth.

Thank you for praying for us during this time (in case you are wondering, we are suffering from the enemies of the grace of our Lord i.e. "Pharisees" and the like. I guess Jesus is not good enough for them and anyone who says that Christ is all and in all, they will persecute. We choose to ignore them and let our Savior handle them just like He has done before. Unfortunately, some chose to follow in their bondage resulting in the loss of few families. That hurts.)
